FUE stands for Follicle Unit Extraction, in this method of hair transplant follicles are extracted individually and no cut is required to extract the grafts. A small punch is attached to machine which rotates and is used to extract follicles individually. Those one by one extracted grafts are then transplanted to patient’s thinning/balding area. This method of surgery is recommended for those who does not want scar at the back of their head. Follicle Unit Extraction has one down side as in this method the number of surgeries is limited to one or two. Which means if the patient wants more density or the area that is be covered is broader, then achieving the desired results will be difficult using FUE technique.
